Loading...We have been working with phpBB for a few months on a project for our sales department. I found it particularly difficult to navigate the HTML documentation and decided there had to be a better way. There was no “manual”, so I assigned one of my summer interns to grab all of the data from the HTML pages and put them into a Word document. We converted that to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 and the final output is pretty good for a first pass. There are some extraneous blank pages, but other than that it is a pretty useful document.
That was back in March of this year. Since that time, I have been asked many times by users to send them a copy of the document. So, I decided to make it available through this blog at http://steve.heyvan.com/phpBB_3.0.pdf. One user that asked for the document has posted it on his site at http://chmelvv.org.ua/phpBB_v.3.0_doc.zip as well.
